What We Believe

"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

Grounded in God’s Word The Gospel of Grace- The Reality For Today

We believe the Bible is the verbally inspired and preserved Word of God—our absolute authority for faith and practice. Our teaching centers on rightly dividing the word of truth to understand God’s grace message for today.

The Bible

We believe the Scriptures to be the verbally inspired and preserved Word of God. Inspiration is that the words came from the mouth of God. Preservation is the written evidence of those words. The Bible as a testimony of God’s witness, is absolute and final in its authority.

We believe that the Authorized Version – commonly known as the King James Version – is an accurate and faithful translation of these preserved words without error in the English language.

How to Study the Bible

The Key Principle

We believe that in order to understand the Bible it must not just be read but studied. Study is the process by which we gain knowledge and understanding. The Bible itself lays out the pattern of how to accomplish this.

In 2 Timothy 2:15 Scripture lays out the process not just to study, but how. It centers on the necessary rule of “rightly dividing the word of truth”.

Dispensational Approach

God in His infinite wisdom designed right into the Scripture how to understand it. He did that by placing divisions within which when applied correctly provides the order, structure and thus purpose of Scripture.

To rightly divide the word of truth is to acknowledge and keep in our understanding that God has given different instructions to different people at different times.

The great benefit of studying the Scripture the way God designed it will result in the full riches of assurance through a complete understanding – what a blessing!

Colossians 2:2, 1 Corinthians 12:5-6, Ephesians 3:1-5

Salvation

The Problem

By one man Adam, all mankind has a sin nature and because of this – we are sinners. As such, we ALL fall short (Romans 3:23). All mankind is held under the bondage of sin with no resource within to be able to fix the problem.

The Solution

The solution to this problem is found in the message of Calvary, the message of the Cross. The good news is that because of the Cross, God has provided the way back to Him.

The Gift of Grace

Through Christ’s shed blood we now have the offer of the full payment of the sin debt as a gift – no works involved – it was done for us (Romans 3:24-25). The only response that God can accept is faith or belief of the truth.

When we trust Christ as our Savior, exclusively, God in His infinite mercy and love, saves us, seals us and gives us a new identity and thus a new purpose for life. Every living soul needs this transformation as this is the way to eternal life.

Romans 3:26, Romans 3:22, Romans 1:16, Ephesians 1:12-13, 1 Timothy 3:15

One God

The Trinity

There is one God eternally existing in three distinct and co-equal persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 4:4-6, 1 John 5:7

Three persons, one essence – co-equal, co-eternal, and working in perfect unity for our redemption.

Jesus Christ

Our Redeemer

We believe that Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God is both true God and true man. That He entered and became a part of His creation through a virgin’s womb.

When it was due time, he was crucified, died, was buried and rose again from the dead in order to pay the full penalty of all sin.

Jesus Christ alone is the giver and sustainer of life – the one who breathed life into man and the one who redeemed it.

John 3:16, Luke 1:35, Romans 1:3-4, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 3:25, Galatians 3:13, 1 Timothy 2:5, Genesis 2:7

The Message for Today

“If you have heard of the Dispensation of the Grace of God” written by the Apostle Paul who lays out the framework of the grace life in the books of Romans – Philemon.
